Why Granbury Green?

The Granbury Chamber has received inquiries and interest from local members regarding environmental issues, topics, and how they may affect future business decisions.

In response to this expressed interest, the Board established a task force to research local and national trends. The group is now sharing that information with our members in an attempt to determine the most important and executable issues for our community.

Contrary to the earlier perception of “green” equating to “tree huggers”, the current connotation is about making more informed business decisions based on their impact on current and future generations.

Many north Texas communities have implemented “green strategies” because they recognize that environmental and economic benefits aren’t mutually exclusive and, in fact, can drive economic growth while improving the quality of our environment.

Finally, our commitment to serving and educating chamber members ultimately serves the community at large, and we understand a collective process assures that together, we create the best vision for Granbury and Hood County.
